This world is filled with many troubles and pain. People from all walks of life are going through something. Everyone fellowships together with smiles and laughter, but deep inside they’re fighting battles no one’s aware of. People are crying on the inside while hiding it with a smile on the outside. Job 3:1-3 states, “1 After this opened Job his mouth, and cursed his day. 2 And Job spake, and said,
3 Let the day perish wherein I was born, and the night in which it was said, There is a man child conceived.” These scriptures depict a servant of God named Job once having it all. Tragedy struck him suddenly and he began to lose everything. Things were so bad, he started to regret ever being born. If someone regrets being born, isn’t it a possibility they would also regret staying alive and stuck dealing with their troubles?

Take the time to read the book of Job, not everyone has gone through as much as Job. When someone is going through trials in their life, pain begins to torment their soul. Psalms 6:3 states, “My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long?”. This scripture references King David describing how he feels due to all the troubles that befell him. If you review the Psalms and the story of King David, you will see like Job, David was drowning in trouble and needed God's help to save him. One thing you should note about these two men, both were men of God. Job's trials were a test of his faithfulness, and David's trials partially were a result of sin and disobedience. What’s good to note is even when David messed up, he still had hope that God would still deliver him. Despite the consequences of David’s actions, his faith was still tested hoping for God's deliverance. Ultimately God delivered both Job and King David in the end.

What if Job and King David decided to kill themselves? Could you imagine how this would’ve changed the trajectory of these two stories? Why would a person even consider suicide as an option? Job 2:9 states, “Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.” Job's wife questioned why Job still had faith in God. Many people blame God for their problems because they’re ignorant of what goes on in the spiritual realm. Most of humanity is not conscious of spiritual realm activities, so they blame God for why their life isn’t going like they think it should. When you read the story of Job, you will see how Satan and his demons caused a plethora of troubles to befall him. Job 2:10 states, “But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil?" In all this Job did not sin with his lips. We read here Job rebuking his wife. He wouldn’t blame God for his issues, nor would he commit suicide to escape his troubles.

From this verse, we can conclude that suicide is a form of rejection toward God and his holy solution to human troubles. Psalm 91:15-16 states, “15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.” As you know Jesus died and saved us from our sins. Not just sin, but our troubles as well. When suicide is entertained we begin to lose faith in God's Salvation. God's salvation is complete. It’s not just defined as redemption from sins penalty, but redemption from life’s troubles as well. So from this argument, we see that salvation is a package deal. God promised to deliver us from Hell in the spiritual world and the hell we go through on Earth. There have been many Christians who have committed suicide. How can you be Christian and commit suicide? How can you believe God has saved us from our sins, but don't believe he can save us from our earthly problems?

Matthew 12:31 states, “Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.” Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is conscious and hardened opposition to the truth. According to John 16:13, “the spirit of the lord is truth”. When someone commits suicide they are choosing to reject the full doctrine of God's salvation. Many people will argue I’m wrong, but hear me out. Genesis 2:7 states, “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” Life is a gift from God given to humanity to utilize on earth. John 14:6 states, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” According to scripture Jesus is life itself. When we commit suicide, we're throwing back in God's face the precious gift of life given to us in Genesis. We're saying what you’ve given isn't good enough.

Since Jesus is life, we're subconsciously saying Jesus isn’t good enough for us either. Since suicidal people reject life, how can they go to heaven? Only life is found in heaven. John 3:16 states, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” When people reject life, they reject Jesus. Why? Jesus' home is heaven and in it, death cannot be found. 1 Corinthians 15:26 states, “The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.” From this scripture we see death is one of Jesus Christ's greatest enemies. Revelation 20:14 states, “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.” Ultimately God will destroy death once and for all. From this argument we can conclude to reject life is to sin. Exodus 20:13 states, “Thou shalt not kill.” When you commit suicide, you’ve made a conscious decision to kill yourself. By God's word, we can confirm this is a sin. How do we get into heaven? 1 John 1:9 states, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” According to scripture we must confess our sins to Jesus Christ and repent to be absolved from the consequences of sin. How can a suicidal person truly be repentant of suicide and still commit the act? This would mean one died unrepentant.

How can an unrepentant human get into heaven? When one chooses to commit suicide, they choose to die in their sins. This means the only place they can go is hell where death abounds. Revelation 10:20 states, “And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.” The devil has tricked many people into believing that suicide is the answer to their problems. He has soothed the ears of weak-minded hurting people into accepting suicide as a valid way of escape. Don’t let Satan fool you, only Jesus Christ is the answer to any problem you may have. If you know anyone who is dealing with suicide, please share this article with them. Please help save a life!!!!!
